EXIM BANK SIGNS A YEAR CONTRACT
WITH STAND UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB

EXIM Bank Tanzania has signed an agreement with Stand United Football Clubof Shinyanga Region. This is the first time for Exim Bank to support the club, a year sponsorship contract that will witness SUFC participate in 2014/2015 Vodacom Premier League season.

"This close partnership brings together Exim bank and Tanzania's biggest sport," Exim Bank Tanzania lake zone Cluster Head, Mr. Justus Mukurasi said yesterday during a brief ceremony in Shinyanga. No other sport in Tanzania has more active participants, spectators and fans than football. The SUFC team particularly has a unique power to unite many Tanzanians in Lake Zone. It is therefore only natural that Exim whose customer base forms part of football fans – thus helps to guarantee a continuation of the broad popular support that characterizes the SUFC football team.

Mukurasi, content that the parties succeeded in negotiating an agreement that enables the Bank to begin its sponsorship when the Premier League started.

"For us, the agreement with SUFC is not just a logo sponsorship, It is a partnership that is long-term, mutual and beneficial for both parties.

"We suppose that we will be able to learn from each other – and achieve good results together. Exim can help football improvement at all levels to stand stronger – and football can give us an even stronger bond and shared values with our customers. There is a clear business reason in our entry into this partnership," said Mr. Mukurasi

The SUFC Chairman Aman Vicent said: "We are excited to be partnering with Exim Bank, We are enthusiastic to fostering this sponsorship well so as to ensure our team succeeds in the Vodacom Premier League this season."

"On behalf of SUFC, I thank Exim Bank for its continued commitment and for supporting our footballers. We are dedicated to nurturing their football talents and making sure they succeed," Mr. Vincent added.
